Rest In Eternal Love, Cody!

About Cody

Oliver Cody Ryan was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed. He touched the lives of so many people. This website is to celebrate his beautiful life!

Our baby Oliver Cody was born on November 18, 1987 in Houston, Tx. Since the minute he was born he has been the best baby, child & man we could ever dreamed of. We have always called him Cody. He went by Cody until late in High School where some classmates started calling him Oliver. He liked it and everyone from college on knew him as Oliver. He grew up in Pearland and started playing sports at the YMCA. Basketball was his favorite and continued playing through High school.

We bought a cabin on Inks Lake in the hill country when he was 10 years old. We spent almost every weekend at the lake and water sports became a favorite pastime for us and he quickly became a great skier. He loved coming to the lake on weekends to hone his skiing skills with his dad and going hiking with his fiancée Parisa and their dog Benji. From grade school and beyond he excelled at everything he did. He began getting awards in grade school for academic achievements and that jumped started his dream of going to college. Cody was always a teacher favorite as his personality was hard not to love. He graduated in the top 7% of his class and University of Texas Austin was his choice for college.

Always Worked Hard...

Codys main job through college was at Best Buy where he was top seller month after month. When he chose Computer Science as his Major, he had summer jobs as an intern at Emerson and a couple of Software development startup companies in Austin. At graduation he chose Dell Computers as the place to start his career. Cody moved to Plano for the job but loving Austin, he transferred back as soon as he could. With his drive to always be the best that he could be, he quickly excelled at Dell and became a Software Development Lead and Security Champion. He was currently a Senior Software Engineer with a promotion coming to Software Developer – Principal Engineer. We know from talking to his team at Dell that he was respected and loved as a team member and a friend.

Cody was carving out a path to financial freedom. Along with his home, he had purchased investment properties in the Austin area that he leased. He always stayed busy managing the properties and tweaking them to add his personal touch.

We're Proud Parents...

Cody offered a level of optimism that was honest, heartfelt, and spilled over into all that he did.

His efforts to help and educate people were incredible. Cody’s impact on them will live on forever. He had this world right where he wanted it and was on his way to conquering it. As parents there is not an end to this story as his life will always be alive in our hearts and minds. With that being said, family and friends please take a minute every day and say what's up to Cody, the man who made all of our lives better.

Welcome to Oliver Cody Ryan, our dedication to our beloved son who we lost in November of 2021.
